Oh, that was my freshman year during band camp, when it was raining outside and so we went into sectionals. my drumline decided to go into one of the hallways inside our school. while we were walking in one of the snare players laid (sp?) his drum down and had walked off. since i didn't see him (it sucked being short on 3rd bass) I just kept going and tripped over his snare. the bass fell off my carrier and smacked the floor REALLY hard. i didn't get hurt, but i broke the rim a little bit. it was so embarrassing because it like, fell off, made this horrid loud sound and just rolled down the hall. then it got really quiet and everyone was just like, "jeremy, where you going?!" Now that I think about it it's hilarious but it was really embarrassing that day. :P

I was at a Winter Drumline rehearsal, and the friend next to me knocked over a snare, which hit another one, and he pointed to me, so everyone thinks I did it...every day I tell them no, but they still don't believe me...

I think falling with a drum on is probably one of the most awkward/embarrassing things we, as drummers, can do. It sucks...especially when the whole school is watching you...

I just think its the most embarrasing thing in the world to play a lick/break disgustingly dirty in front of any crowd, whether or not they even understand what dirt is.

Yeah, especially as dirty as the movie Drumline was...hehe, no pun intended.

Yea, playing dirty in front of people sucks. Especially when it's other drummers or another drumline.

It was my first year marching, and the show started with our drum major yelling, "Band! Horns up!" Well, I was nervous, and it sounded like, "Band! Ten-hut!' to which we normally scream "PRIDE!" as loudly as we can. So I did. In utter silence. I wanted to die.

We were doing a crab-step/follow the leader quite quickly across the field and someone had left a water bottle on the field. I slipped, threw myself backward to get out of the way of the other drummers, and threw up my hand so my snare wouldn't smack me in the face.

Marching in a Mardi Gras parade with 1st bass with my drum corps. Lots of beads and frisbees, and cups, etc... littering the ground. We were nearing the judge's stands. I slipped, rolled over my bass drum, and popped back up without missing a beat. I did rip my shirt, but the drum was okay.

My 9th grade year I was marching in a comp and a judge was getting in the way. You know how if a judge gets in the way you run into him right? wrong I marched into one and long story short we ended up with a a score of 55.9 in the international band division.

In 9th grade, I missed a halt at Montclair, which is pretty much the biggest event of our season. Nobody on the line, or in the band would leave me alone for about a month and a half.
