The Swiss Army Triplet is my favorite rudiment of all time. It does take time to develop the speed of the triplets for it to roll. It is fun once the triplet is ready to roll.

I just recently realized I could do it, so I don't know how long I've actually been able to. It does turn into a roll very easily, and for some reason it happens more easily with my right hand than with the left. I think it's because the left hand can't go as fast yet.

Another rudiment that when played fast can turn into a roll is the flam. Played hand to hand at high speed it falls into a roll. However, that means you're doing it incorrecly. Bill Bachman shows a way to do it in Reefed Beats, I think, but you don't need to exagerate it that much to get proper sound quality.
