I am unsure as to if the first Blast is still on tour. This show after it's Premier in Owensboro will be leaving for a five month tour in Japan, after which it will run on a two year tour in North America.

Blast II: Music in Xtreme Brand new Blast show about to launch from RiverPark Center in Owensboro, KY. It is RiverPark's extreme privilege to launch this new musical presentation of Blast II: Music in Xtreme before the professional production heads to Japan for the beginning of an International tour. The creators of the 2001 Tony Award-winning Broadway smash have created a whole new high energy, heart pounding production and they will "build" the show at RiverPark during the month of June. The creators - including James Mason (founding director of Star of Indiana) and the New York-based crew and performers will be in Owensboro for nearly 3 weeks putting the show together. To announce the opening of this event, we are inviting all high school bands to help us "open" the new Blast show with individual band performances and a Mass Band performance on our beautiful Plaza that overlooks the Ohio River. This will be a Mega-Music event that will herald the opening of the show and what an awesome thing for band students to participate in!!! We hope to have the blast of bands echoing down the Ohio River for miles and miles! Hey, that's Kit Chatham in the background!! Maybe someone that goes can end that whole previous disscussion on whether he is a rudimental snare drummer or not.

haha.. you're the one who started that . (and I believe it ended up being not about his talent to play, but his talent to create a good promo video ).
anyways, I have yet to see the whole Blast video, but have seen most of it.
Maybe I'll actually be able to catch this one...

They should have gone with a different name. "X-treme" is just so cheesy. I guess they're trying to target more of a younger demographic, but it still seems pretty tacky for such a high-quality production.
I saw Blast when it rolled through here about 4 years ago, hopefully I'll be able to go see this one too.
