right on, that's awesome!
this year, our bass line has:
1:sophomore(was pit last year)
2:sophomore(was bass 3 last year)
3:empty(was sophomore, but he quit)
4:freshman
5:senior(was pit 2 years then bass 5 last year)
So its not a big thing at my school, the freshman is happy to be on bass, and if we have a big enough line next year he could easily get snare. Of course the dude who quit was mad that he made bass, but only because he worked really hard to get tenors and had his spot taken by a freshman(me
).
