OK. My Band Teachers are bugging cymbals about playing loud, so they say if we invert our cymbals, while playing correctly they'll give us $20, is that even possible? If so, Help me out. Please
Thanks,
Moi

I'm confused. Are they telling you to invert the cymbals?

Yeah Because They Are trying to make us play louder, and they say that if we play loud and invert them they'll give us money. but i don't know if there is a way to do it easily.

Inverting cymbals ruins them! If you want to play louder, play a flam crash. Usually people invert cymbals from using poor technique.

I think what she seems is that the band director wants them to play loud enough (And jokingly told them) that it would invert the cymbals. I don't think he/she meant it literally.

But yeah, If you play with correct technique, there's a significantly lower chance of invertedness(ishwtfdidIjusttype). And, you can be louder by playing correctly. But, there are going to be times where you won't be able to hear the cymbals because of field positions or the loudness of the band.

That's why I asked. It sounded like the director was serious.

Umm . . . You can get 20 bucks by doing something else . . . Not ruining a perfectly good pair of 200+ dollar Plates. Use common sense.
