I sat down one day and figured that snare is only one drum, but quads is 5/6....more drums=more fun. plus i stank at traditional grip, so it all worked out.

I've wanted to play the tenors ever since the first time i saw a drumline. The more complex rythems, the fact that there is more than one pitch, and the difficulty is something i always strived to be on top of. after a couple years of playing them, I now enjoy every minute i spend with the tenors when I'm with my drumline.

In 8th grade we had a marching competition and noboby wanted to play the quints so i decided to play them...Later that month/year i became addictted to them and now i play them in high school as a freshman which is like a broken law at my school.
9th-bass-quints 10th-quints (hopefully) 11th-quints (hopefully) 12th-quints (hopefully)

I started out playing drumset, and as i became more and more fascinated with drums i had a hunger to learn them all! So with the help of my private teacher i dove into the marching world. When i first saw a drumline (Blue Devils of course), i loved the mere look of a 4 man tenor line presenting themselves like champions and moving so fast and playing so steady. That day, a quad drummer was born in me.
