This visual is a variation of Jeff Queens trick he does in Battery Blast...
Step 1 - Hold the stick you are going to do the visual with in between your thumb and index finger from the bottom, do this while hitting the stick with the other to make it bounce on the drumhead.
Step 2 - Lower your head a little above eye level with your drumhead and place the stick in between the top of your ear and the side of your head. Do this while still hitting the stick with the other to keep it bouncing.
Tips
- Try tilting your head to the side while doing this to keep the stick balanced.
- Also, don't hit the stick too hard, or you will just end up bouncing the stick off of your ear.
- This particular trick can only be done with the drum on a stand, because it is impossible to get I level with your snare with a harness on. Have fun!!!
