we usually bleach our hair (as everyone knows) but decided not to this year. we wanted to be known for our playing ability, not our looks. we also have what we call "boxer fridays" were we take off our shorts during rehearsal and bear the "non-dark side of the force". we also do a number of other things that are just between us BA guys, so i'll leave it at that.

back in HS, we would try to steal some sort of sign/artifact that had some relevance to the HS we were visiting (either for a marching comp or indoor show)
all the newbies on my drumline have to freeball (no boxers or anything under uniform) at our homeshow. its really funny but i remember from my experience that you forgot about it when you get in the zone

When we do our last parade of the season all the freshman drumline members have to sniff a pixiestick. If they don't then they're not apart of the drumline for a day. oh yea and we call them F*gg's too.
On our drumline we have communion with chinese food before leaving for every competition. Before the homecoming parade we go to the drainage ditch in the woods behind our and blow lighters up.

This one is half tradition and half initiation. It's been around for 7 years. When any guy joins the line, he must touch his crotch to the 28" bass and the section leader hits the opposite side as hard as possible. It hurts like hell o.o
my high school line used to make all the freashmen sniff pixi-sticks on the bus on the way to our biggest show of the fall season. it sucked because after being in the heat all day everyone would have huge head aches going home. i don't think they do it anymore though. i never liked that one very much...
