The drumline wears orange bandana's during football games. During band camp we all dress up each day. The first day is usually orange(school color) shirt and Khaki pants/shorts. We've done dress like our BD day, White shirt and hat day, pirate day (probably the best one so far), Blue Devils day, And then on the day of the March-Off it is all business. So we wear business attire. That's basically it except for playing cadences on the backs of bus seats on the way to games/ competitions.

We have a lot of traditions. We have been making drumline shirts since the 1990's. On the shirt, we have a cymbal that means something. Only the people that the section leader deams worthy or loyal to the drumline get to know what it is at the end of the year. We also have a chant that we have for the freshman drumline members that we do before the first game. We put the freshman on their knees, push their heads together and say it. Its really gross... but funny. We also, in our band trailer, have the drumline symbol on madeout of wood on the top of the exit door that we lick our hand, stick the spit on it, and hit it. All of the seniors sign it before they graduate. We also have a drumline bible which has all of the candences, traditions, and other stuff in it. We have a lot of traditions.

Yeah, I've never actually seen it, only the section leader gets to keep it. It never goes near the school. I find it a bit pointless to keep it kept in secret, though i'm sure theres a reason for it.

the drumline has their own closet(which is old and smelly) and at the end of the year we sign our names on the walls, what we played, and what years we played it. i once found a 2nd bass player from 1989 in there.

So, now we have a bunch of new traditions.
-At basically any standstill performance without hats, we wear black bandanas (headband style). -Everyone, including cymbals, must "stick-five" everyone else before a performance. -Before field shows, our second snare will call, "Drumline...ASSEMBLE!". Then, everyone puts their sticks up in the middle of the cluster. There's a loud count to three (like sports teams), but then we don't say anything. -After football games, we turn off the drum room lights, turn on the Christmas lights in there, and have a cadence rave.
That's all that I think is worth mentioning.
