in the caribe section, when the snares are on the 16" toms in the rack, the tenors use these things called "backbeats" by vic firth. does anyone know if these things were specially made for them or were they in stock but discontinued? id also like a picture ofthis since its not on the video.

they were discontinued a long time ago.. they were pieces of bamboo with a slot cut half way down the handle. made a slap sound, they broke pretty easy though.
