Keep doing what you're doing. Um, definitely not. If the BD expresses a problem with something you don't just keep doing it anyway. That's definitely not good leadership. If the BD says not to do it then don't do it, it's an adult-to-kid respect thing. Going against what an adult says is definitely going to be counterproductive. Have you tried having a sit down with the BD and explaining what you're doing in a respectful kid-to-adult manner? If he's still not interested after that you might want to leave it alone, you've got to respect the BD man, even when he clearly has his head between his cheeks.

Keep doing what you're doing. i agree keep being persistance and never give up and if everyone keeps acting like that make the cadets then have the cadets go back to your old school and play the best cadance ever then have lots of fun and say hahaha see i told u you could have fun and be good then poop in your bd's mouth thats pretty funny i'd like to say Keep doing what you're doing. Um, definitely not. If the BD expresses a problem with something you don't just keep doing it anyway. That's definitely not good leadership. ...he doesnt want us to be as hardcore as the good bands like Ayala because he wants band to be fun... As if the kids at Ayala are miserable? I'd venture to guess the kids in a good program have a whole lot more fun than students in bands that suck. ...and the students should do whatever they want... When students can do "anything they want", it's a social activity or club, not a class.

If you haven't tried already, explain to him that your section leader is too lazy to do anything, so you're trying to help with what he's not helping with. If he's still mad at you, just set up rehearsals at your house or somewhere else. I don't know other then that. After all, I am a genuine idiot!
