i thought the drumset was pretty manly, but if you want a retarded answer, the triangle is the way to go.
i dont usually enjoy drumkits in pits, but i suppose it is a manly instrument. as for triangle, i think it takes a lot of courage to play! every second movement key poulan has ever written ends with a triangle hit after a measure or so. if you arent paying attention you make the band look stupid!

The marimba, although the audience has a hard time hearing it, is the coolest thing in the pit. It takes the most skill if played correctly than any other instrument in the pit. But the marimba is just next too the timps because they take snugglebunny of skill and technique as well to play correctly.

Manliest is probably gong. But I respect the melodics players the most.

Definetely Marimba, cause if you have a "good" percussionist, who can play the marimba well, and a show with an amazing mallet solo with four mallets, it just makes the audiences jaws drop, and isn't that what we are all going for.

A gong / bass drum hit, but you have to do a pelvic thrust while you do it!

I agree. Melodic pit players are most respected. But manliest has to be timbali. bass and gong. So B.a
