What corps has the most of your favorite licks. It's kind of a tricky question with staff changes and all, but I don't want to hear it! Pick one corps that has your favorite snare licks.

I'm going to have to go with the Glassmen. No matter what kind of mood I'm in, I can always enjoy hacking out a good Gmen lick.

See what I'm saying?

I'd have to go with Bluecoats and SCV. I don't know too many other licks so I'm very limited.

Beddis' Crossmen licks are always a nice workout, and fun to play.

Like them or not, I love playing Cadets stuff. Most of it is musical, simple in its writing but intricate in its phrasing.

The occasional ScoJo/Blue Devils lick is good for playing more intricate, hybrid-oriented stuff.

All music is good music, when it comes down to it.

Yea, I suppose WGI can count as well.

I picked Gmen, but for WGI I would have to say MCM. They always have a challenging lick that pertains so good to my taste in snare.

I'd go with MCM. I like the writing; it's not the choppiest stuff in the world, but man is it fun. The '07 snare lick leading up to the solo, great stuff.

As far as corps go, Phantom. They seem to stick in my head

Bluecoats, Blue Devils, or Cadets as far as DCI.

WGI though... Mystique all the way.

For me I'd say Cadets, Bluecoats, and Crossmen 01-02

Cadets 2005 ballad and drum feature... the 03 break and the first umm... 7-8 bars that the snares play in Nitro(2008 show) its snugglebunny of fun. some stuff form 2000

Bluecoats... 2005 snare feature a few licks from 07... i just like Mike's writing style... its easy for me to pick up on.

Well for DCI I would have to say Blue Devils have my favorite licks. Their books are usually one of the hardest to play.

For WGI I'm going with MCM. The things they pull off are incredible.

All of them. I really don't discriminate. The drummers are way better than I am, so I love anything they do.

However, the first DCI show I ever when to was in 2006, and I watched the Cadets in the lot and then followed them into the stadium for the show. They were the first corps I had ever seen and I will never forget their table-top feature from 2006.

yeah i got cut at the second camp... u basically need 2 march on another line 1st before u can march there so tom and colin told me to try another div 1 or a good sr corps like reading, but i decided to go to surf.

i've always loved BD's snare music they play the stuff that most are scared to try and it jsut looks like they have fun writing music and messing with your ears.
Cadets is fun really fundamental rudimental stuff to play.
someone earlier mentioned Lee Beddis Crossmen stuff. my friend marched x-men 01-02 so i got to learn some of their licks right from the playbook which was pretty cool.
also i've always like madison scouts snare licks they play some crazy licks and seem to consistantly get talent.

Most BD licks are fun to watch AND play ^^ Grievous and Ditty are two of note
