I'm in real need of advice. Ok, we don't have an instructor this year so it's my responsibility to teach the line. I made a few changes that me and my band director find to be for the better. All of the line likes these new ideas but one kid. He's come down to physical threats at me to stop trying to teach the line and reverse the changes. He's been telling me he's going to fight me for weeks and I refuse to. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against him and I'm not scared of him, but I don't want to get kicked off the line just because he's being immature. The lines really picking up on the way we play now and some of them only know that way, and I sincerely don't want to change what they like just for one child. I was wondering what all of you thought I should do? I've already decided to talk to our BD Monday.
