Okay, back to the topic at hand. What were we talking about? Something about a Cavie tenor play who was tilting? The real topic was Cavies using one 8" spock this year. I guess the final word is Cavies are using one 8" spock because akeith told Jim & Jim it was ok (after they were finished mowing his lawn).

From the video I've seen/heard, the 8" spock is tuned at a good pitch and compliments the overall percussive sound. It's actually a little refreshing to hear because as much as I like a reefed 6" spock, the 8" has more warmth and body. I agree, it adds a lot to everything I think and the way it is tuned just totally fits the theme 100%. I'm excited to see what will happen with the Cavies this year.

Based on the videos I have seen I dig the sound of the 8 inch spock. They have tuned it to what must be the sweet spot. In fact I forgot about the 8 inch spock completely in the first video I watched. It took me until about the mid way point of the second one I watched to recall the 8 in spock.
