I've either played on that model, or a model that is extremely similar. It's a cool pad, but it doesn't feel very real and I'd be afraid of hitting it too hard. Other than that, it probably helps your timing and such quite a bit.

Yes, the Heckler & Koch (HK) MP5 produced in germany, firing a 9mm round with 30 round standard clip, Biggest seen/used model being the MP5-J with the retractable stock. Used by a lot of special forces units including the navy seals, and was once used to guard the berlin wall.

Sorry, I had to flex the knowledge of the guns =P

But, I do know someone with this, they said its pretty trick, but for 200$? I would just take a pad and a metronome anyday, I don't need 1000 sounds, especially for a practice pad.

just to let you guys know, being a drummer, he meant to hit the rims, it's part of the effect. It changes it up a bit.

awesome gun knowledge!

back on topic, i think the sounds and met are the best part, like somebody said( i forgot who) that if you rely on all of that coach stuff, it'll be hard for you to play without it in the long run.

If it is a mesh head, it will be very unrealistic. I have a Roland V-Drum drum set and the mesh heads aren't the most realistic. It might be different on this drum. But like I said before, it is probably cheaper and better just to buy an actual marching snare drum.

the rmp-5 i saw for $185 at BailY Bros. music store, I'm not sure if it is anywhere else though. They sell stuff cheaper than a lot of places.

edit. After research it may be a rmp-3. they look the same
