Last week Wednesday i went to the hospital, from Sunday to then I'd had a pretty nasty cold, then I had an asthma attack, one of the serious ones where you physically can't breathe. Doctor said I had bronchitis and some other stuff which explains why the asthma attack was so serious.

My problem is my doctor said for me to stay inside for the next few days. All the medicine I've been given has me eating like crazy and antsy all the time. I haven't had any physical activity for the whole week but I've been eating like a king, I'm sure that's a bad combination. I'm not worried about gaining weight (although it's definitely showing a little bit) as much as other health concerns I might not know about.

So my questions are what can I do to burn some weight off inside? I'm very prone to having more asthma problems right now.

And also what health concerns other than gaining weight might I need to worry about?

Burning off weight just takes activity. Any activity. Granted, there are ways to healthily speed up the process, it just takes working your body, be it aerobically, anaerobically, getting your cardio boosted, etc.

Do some light weight lifting, or sit-ups/push-ups. Don't eat as much, and exercise some self-control.

All in all, a week off of your feet should NOT take that much fitness out of you. If a week takes your wind away, then you weren't in good shape to begin with. After your week or two, if it feels like, after you finally get out moving again, that you're out of breath, it's probably because your body is still getting over illness, not that you've lost fitness.

Yoga or Pilates. Sure, they're "chick" exercises, but they shouldn't exacerbate your asthma too much.

As for the medicine, I can't imagine them keeping you on the prednisone for longer than 2 weeks? (That's what they gave you, right?) If that's the case, don't worry too much about the long-term effects of the steroids. It's only if you're on them for awhile where you start to worry about significant weight gain, etc.

Prednisone and a bunch of other "steroids". I'm off of everything as of today though. I rode my bike to Hallmark to get my dad a father's day and birthday card and I didn't have any problems so I think I'm about back to normal now.
