Do you mean at :38 and 2:24? Because at :30 he's just doing regular backsticking.

yea that was what i meant. my bad.

cause i get confused. do you turn your wrist and play with first finger or is it still kind of a wrist turn. because my singles get inconsistant on the way back.

This is written in the music for RCC's snare break from 2008, which I tried to learn. I did it my own way, to raise the left hand about 6 inches above the right and play at a downward angle, crossing at the fulcrums. It works, but sometimes comes off a bit weak. I don't know if this is correct or not, though, so don't quote me on it :P

That is correct as least for how RCC plays it ^^^.....The left wrist should cross over the right and the left should play downward and you can use fingers to bring out notes......It sounds weak at first but the more you practice it the stronger it will sound.....another way to play it is how bluecoats did it this year in their perc. feature.....simply move the left stick over the right stick to form an "X".....this one is harder because it's easier to tick the sticks on accident with each other..which ever way you choose to practice it, just make sure you keep the right hand down.
