For those of you who can't make the trip out to Bloomington this year, who's going to the closest theatre to check it out on the big screen?

I just checked the DCI site and found out that a theatre just 6 miles from my home is broadcasting the Quarter Finals live. This is the only chance that I'll get to see all the corps shows this year. I can't wait.

So who's going?

I'd like to, but the nearest participating theater is about a 2-hour drive from here.

I'm going. First - I haven't gotten to any shows this year. Second - a theater is showing it about 2 miles from my house. Last - it happens to be on my b-day, so not only am I going, but I'm getting my girlfriend to foot the bill!

You're right, DCI needs to relocate to Eugene, Oregon!!! We have Autzen Stadium. It'd be perfect for finals week!

autzen stadium is the oppisite of a good drum corps stadium,
1) the overhang =bad
2) bowl stadium = bad
3) the home side is uncommonly wide from row one to the top= bad

Ideal, you want a double decker, with at least one open end ,ala Madison, though they just closed it

They should come to Alabama, or atleast somewhere in the south.

Anyone have any idea of the performance order? I looked at the DCI site yesterday, and it wasn't up....

it was worth every penny, they did a very good job with it. I hope that they continue to do it for many years to come (it was the first time they had it at my local theater).

Just a question, did they do multi-cam, or just bird's-eye view.

The Cinecast last night was awesome. They showed all the Regiment murders so I was pleased. smile I love the changes they made to their show. They've improved so much since when I saw them in early July.

The only thing I didn't like was during the BD show when the camera changed the hornline in the MIDDLE OF THE DRUMBREAK. (I wanted to show my friend the dumb "waddle" movement the battery does during the break.)
