hey guys ive been a high school instructor for about 3 years now and recently i got a job teaching a junior high drumline. well my highschool line doesn't compete and my junior high line does so i wrote out a cadence for them for competition but since i never really had the experience of competing im not sure if this cadence is up to par for competition. what is it that they judge on when looking at a drumline? let me know what you guys think.

i personally feel like the bass drum part is kinda cheesy and repetive, but i think everything else is alright.

the bass part is a bit repetitive from the part at like 20 seconds in. I would think of maybe change that up a bit get soem variation in there since it isn't a very challenging part anyway.

The judging criteria will be different based on what circuit they compete in. Find that out and talk to the head of the circuit and ask them for some judging sheets or something like that and it will let you know what they judge the unit on.

Once you find out what they judge on you may decide to re-write some of it to fit the criteria better. for example re write some more dynamic parts. You may have to lengthen or shorten it thinks like that. Hope this helps
