i have a Pearl snare, and the shell is going on me, it's not cracked yet.. but it bends at the crease.. can any one point me in the right direction?

we had this problem once with our pearls. you can try calling the company...i think if you send them the shell theyll give you one at a discounted price

Sometimes you can find stripped shells or parts drums on eBay. You can also buy a bare shell from 'custom' drum shops like DrumMaker.com.

If you order a bare shell, remember to subtract 2" from your drum's height to account for the tension ring. If you have a 14x12" drum, only 10" of the 12" height is the shell. The remaining 2" is the ring.
