I am curious if anyone knows of any marching/rudimental literature for a bass line that features the 2nd BASS? anything published for solo BASS? and ideas, I would love to know!

I assume you play 2nd BASS...and want a bass drum piece that showcases 2nd BASS...Why not write something on your own to showcase your most incredible 2nd BASSness?

How about splitting some 32nds with top. thats always hard. or some 6's, those are always fun, but yea I would write something so that you can customize it to how ever you want. How about splitting some Single Flam Mills, those sound really cool when played splitted, I play the right hand on the rim and left on the drum, makes a nice little groove.

I would love to write one, but I don't believe the bass line I'm on would be able to play it. I would love to write some literature for it, but who would play it?

If the rest of your line has a lower ceiling for difficulty than you do, just write around them. Showcase strong players while giving something less difficult (but still interesting and enjoyable) to those who might not have the capabilities to play the split singles and such.
