I've recently become the biggest practice rat ever, practicing 2 hours a day, everyday on my pad. Today I noticed I had a pain in my knuckle, for my ring finger, when I pull it like I'm using finger finesse, its uncomfortable, almost a pain. I can play through it, but its just uncomfortable. Im scared of tendonitus, Is this is a possibility?

On a side note, I'm also feeling a tad bit of sorness in my left arm, a few inches or so off my wrist bent, on the outside If I am holding sticks, But I would imagine thats just sorness from building chops. Do I have anything to worry about now? Like a chronic tendonitus, or can I just rest for a day or so and jump right back into it?

just to let you guys know, being a drummer, he meant to hit the rims, it's part of the effect. It changes it up a bit.

I'm guessing that you over did it. Your muscles weren't use to that much of practice and you puled one. I would lay off of practicing few days and ease back into it. Also cut your practice time down some.

Quality over quantity. Give it a rest for a few days. If it's still tender, get it looked at.

tendonits isnot as common as you think so dont worry. youre just building muscle that your not used to...its like weight lifting, you may be sore after because your building new muscle. give it a rest but i wouldnt worry too much unless its there for more than a week or so

I actually have something like that in my pointer finger. I think it's from popping my knuckles too much.
