I've seen that most corps have two stick bags, one on each side. How exactly do you get the sticks out into the right postion of your hand? Do you just slightly let go for a second and let the stick slide up into the right position as you take it out? I've seen tons of people do it, but I don't really understand how.

Yes!

You grab the top of the stick and you just pull up and catch it at the playing position. It's almost like tossing the stick up, but keeping it pointed upwards.

It's just a quick, flourishy way of switching/getting out sticks. Perhaps the quickest.

There are two methods...one of each pair of stick in both stick bags, or one pair in one stick bag.

When you mean four stick bags, You mean they had two double-slotted stick bags, right? Because I'm pretty sure they would only use snare stick bags for more sticks than the first bags couldn't carry.

I know they only had one 8" spock, there was a thread that discussed it here. I am pretty sure they had four-two slotted stick bags. One on the inside of each drum.

I would Imagine, Though I don't know for sure.

-A set of sticks
-A set of mallets
-A set of felt/yarn mallets

I'm kind of doubting them having 4 stick bags. How would they mount them? I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just having troubles figuring out how they would mount the stick bag.

If you have one spock you can mount the bags on one and two while not compromising anything and use bags on 3 and 4. Hence, the 4 stick bags...

Check out the IP vids...maybe it's how they did it. .

Well, say they had two of the double stick bags, one on each low drum. If they had four sets of sticks/mallets, they would fit comfortably in two. Two sticks per bag for a double bag. If they had spares, though, then it would be a different story.

I confirm previous acquisitions that Cavaliers marched four double-slotted stick bags, and deny my previous post that they only marched two.

Well, as to the Cavie quad discussion, I know they use each bag, because I have seen videos where you see the backside of the quads. And they also have a visual aspect. They remind me of those semi-dress armor pieces that samurai wore. Maybe it is just me. I prefer to have two bags and have one stick from a pair on either side. It makes changes faster and easier than going to rest position and putting them away.
