marimba book

I've decided I want to be a more well rounded percussionist so I decided I wanted to get more into every percussion instrument. I chose to start with marimba. My old instructor suggested Fundamental Method for Mallets, I was wondering what you guys thought I should get? My problem with the Fundamental Method book is it seems to be for marimba, vibes, bells, xylophone, and chimes. Marimba, bells, and xylophone are all okay, but I have no way of getting a hold of chimes or vibes. I guess I"m looking for a good marimba focused book that teaches 2 mallet and 4 mallet. Is there anything of that kind?

You should also take a look into purchasing "Mark Wessels' Fresh Approach to Mallet Percussion" book. It's very descriptive and doubles as a personal workbook to track your progress. Fundamental Method for Mallets by Mitch Peters
I've played out of Mitchell Peter's and Nancy Zeltsman's books. They're both pretty good. Mitchell Peter's takes it a little slower though, I'd recomend that of the two if you're very new to mallets. Half of Mitchell Peter's book is centered around two mallet work too, so it's definitely a good place to start if you're new. If you're just trying to get familiar with mallets the Nancy Zeltsman's book might be better for you.
