Yes, I am Drum Captain at my school. Drum Line has work year round.. it never stops. we constantly work on technique, music, and marching. and training new people for tryouts at the end of the school year.

I am in a Tulsa Winter Percussion Ensemble. We are in a circuit with Oklahoma State University. half of the people in it cant even drive. but we're catchin up. cool stuff. I would advise anyone who likes drumming to get in one!

My school does not have a WGI drumline, but I am part of an independent line called the Crescent City Battleline. We are from New Orleans, Louisiana. This was our first year and we did a good job for our starting year.

We don't have a winterline this year. I kind of think that last year was our only year but I'm not sure. We do have a winterguard. They were part of WGI last year but now they are competing in something else and I kind of think its called indoor or something like that.

I am starting one up now for next year. Auditions are in April, and we will have practices once a week throughout the summer. The week football season is over next year, we go to 3 practices a week, in preperation for the show. We are going to perform during the half time of a basketball game or two, and possibly other performances in the community. I'm psyked!! We are even going to play an original composition written by me. I'm only a sophmore so if any one has tips I could use please let me know.

We have a winter drumline at our school. It got started because our drum teacher thought it would be a good idea to get real competition (there arent very many big lines around us).

Unfortunately we are paired up with too many guard members. But anything is better than nothing.

Hi! Everyone

I'm Elizabeth Ortiz. I live in southern california and graduated from high school almost 6 yrs ago. Currently my former high school doesnt have a winter drumline but they do have a winter guard. I'm thinking of starting a winter drulime at my former high school. Can anyone give any advice on how to get students involve with it.

My school has had one for three years and we usually place top 3 in our usual division (NACP or something like that..) We competed in the PSA group in WGI but we didn't make semi finals. I don't think we're too bad.
