what happened to this thread? We head a good topic goin on. Man, I wish we could make a 10 page topic like they did with Major Woody. Ahahahahahaha that was funny as hell!!!!!! Anyways, I remember with the metronome thing, whenever our director would take out the dreaded "Dr. Beat" we'd all moan and groan. It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo loud.

I also remember when we had this girl in my 6th-8th grade band. Her name was Misty, but she ended up quiting after 8th grade cause she never liked it. She had potential though. It was fun with her there cause she added that "feminine touch" to everything. Except that she tried to act like one of us which made us all better friends cause she wasn't isolating herself. LOL, I remember when we used to have a running joke where when we'd be holding our sticks and not playing we'd ask her to "touch our heads". LOL, sometimes she'd do it, but it was all in fun. Just like if she said "rub her drum" we would, LOL.

Anyways, I know we've got other topics in the forum now, but we should keep it going. Maybe the veterans will join in, and this will be one of those good times things. LOL, w/e just post.

I guess this thread fizzled out or something. All of a sudden we started talking about the catholic schoolgirl game and then it just fizzled out.....And besides, the best chance for a 10+ page thread would be the cymbal thread anyway.....

But anywho, I remember at my school the gals outnumbered the guys. It was challenging, but most of the gal were unattracted to yours truly so it was all good. Our drumline was called the "swoll line". yep.....7 gals and like 5 guys and like 15 in the pit. It was crucial. I tell ya.

You know Chris, I think we're at a stalemate on the posts now. But that's alright now. At least I'm happy that I finally caught up to you. I thought I would never get there. And Moe, your whole line is really made of 9th and 10th graders? What happens to the upperclassmen?

"That feminine touch" LOL

Anyway, I remember in middle school all the guys would like hump the cabasa and then say "hey, you wanna play with my cabasa?" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

Male percussionists are pretty dumb at age 13 <img border="0" alt="[2]" title="" src="graemlins/cwm2.gif" />

Try at age 15. The guys are getting closer to their sexual peek. And I'm sure all of you nkow exactly what you joked, talked, or actually carried out when you were in high school. The stereotype (which seems to be true) about the drumline being very perverted/dirty lives on.

Yeah. I can atone to being a dumb when I was 13. I remember finding a lighter and putting it to a teacher's butt. I got suspended for 11 days, but it was worth it.

Moe, at least they start to get funny as they get older. Like my instructor can be dirty, but it's hilarious. Wehn they're 13, they think they're funny, but nobody else does...
