Swiss Army Triplets are really hard for me when I play them fast. It sounds like I am playing drags when I play the doubles. If I practice them with heavy sticks for a long time I can get them perfect. I also hate Inverted Flam Taps. I am used to playing Flam Taps so I get very confused when I play them inverted. In my solo and ensemble piece, Africa Hot, there are some Inverted Flam Taps. I usually get lost or studder when I play them. I am getting better at them though.

Like AmbasadorSnare, I despise Inverts. OY. My Flams Taps are pretty darn good, but my Inverts... Oy. *shudders* I also have a strong dislike of Flam Paradiddles... Again, MotherF***ers. And lastly, Flam Drags, but only because I can't play them very fast... so I guess that's my own dang fault...

There are too many to name. Inverted flammed paradiddlediddles, or paradiddles with the first note cheesed and the last two flammed, or cheesed pati fla flas with all flams cheesed, or swiss army triplets with the last note flammed as well, inverted double stroke rolls, flammed eggbeaters. God the list goes on and on but i don't want to make this post really long. Screw it, i'll keep going. Cheesed shirley murpheys, Now some of my favorties, really aren't that hard, but i thought i'd mention them because they're fun to play: same hand lead flam drags, inverted one handed flam drags, swiss army flam drags inverted swiss army flam drags. Oh and a fellow tenor player mentioned these which are flammed paraddidles with the third note cheesed, he calls them McMickens which is his last name. Those are pretty hard, but i think the hardest i've ever done are one handed tap drags at a fast tempo. All these are easy played slow of course take em fast thats when it gets fun.

I'm really trying to get this warmup right now from SCV called S&G which has rolls with accents. It's interesting since I have to slow it down a lot. Not usual for me.

Try playing it through with drags first.

Try getting your bookreport grid past 132 bpm on the sixteenth notes.

How about alternating flams at a high tempo. Like that one part in electric wheelchair. Drives me nuts.

I think that inverts are probably my least favorite of the essential 40. In terms of hybrids: Malfs, diddle-egg-fives, and swiss cheese inverts are super hard. I love egg beaters and double flam drags and book reports and any other combination that I can put together.
