okay, I guess I didn't make myself clear in my first post.
Sorry about that. The question was refering to Tenor drumming and that was the reason why I put it in here.
I guess I did answer my own question....but only kinda.
See, tenor playing will eventually reach its peack some day.
I was just wondering how you would know. Hope that clears everything up! Thanks for all the replies!

i don't think it will ever reach its peak, it will constantly evolve like it has done for 20+ years. changes in equipment, set ups, teaching technique, will constantly move tenor drumming, (and drumming in general) forward.

to add one more thing sometimes you have to look to the past to see were the future is heading.

The more you know, the more you realize what you don't know. If you ever feel you can't learn anymore, it may mean that you just haven't exposed yourself enough to new environments and new situations to stimulate new ideas and concepts.
