Like in my post in the tenor equipment, i was looking at Blue Devils media the other day and was wondering why the Blue Devils only march 4 tenors. What do they do with the extra person? Where do they go?

Blue Devils used to march 5 tenors (mid 90's). I think recently however they have gone with 4 simply because of cleaning responsibilities. It is a lot easier to clean 4 than 5. Also, this year they are only going to be marching 8 snares to go along with the 4 tenors.

oh, and there is no telling where the extra person is used. They could put them anywhere...pit, hornline, or guard. Unless you know the numbers they marched compared to other corps...there is really no way to know.

i think they started out last year with 5, and 2 dropped around WGI championships, Vega put out e-mails looking for talent at Dayton. thats how Tim Jackson got the spot.

i think in 2001 they had 5.

the reason for this is because they want to even out the sound. the more wind players, the more percussion. I go to bd workshops a lot and my bro and 3 of my friends are in their 'b' corp.
