I was just pondering on an old marching instuctional film reel we had to watch in band from the 70's. I thought it was very interesting seeing that there were people in that film marching timpani's and glock's. I was just wondering if anyone
knew if the marhing timpani's may have led to the development of marching basses, or tenors. I watched Big_John's presentation on modern marching percusison, but found no info on the two. I think that is would be interesting to know more on the history and evolution of the two, and
what corps or bands used them. So if you know any info I would really like to know

As far as I know, marching timp have been around as long as tenors, and most definately bass.
