I know this site is dedicated to marching percussion, but what about a Concert Percussion ensemble for the sheet music section? I dunno, I just thought it might add some variety to the site.

Yeah, I think that would be awesome. It would give my friends and me in 7th period (danceline class) something to do when we aren't watching the dancers . . . heh heh heh.

Here's the way I see it:

Concert Percussion pieces are almost always published if they are of quality. If they are published, they are copywritten.

However, if a user were to send in a percussion ensemble that they wrote themselves, a seperate forum would not be needed as "originals" would fit the bill perfectly.

that would be a good idea. since it is concert season for everybody, a percussion ensemble would be something a little different other than the band playin for an hour straight at Spring concert.

That's a very good point. More or less, I guess what I'm saying is that *something*, whether it be a forum, a sheet music section, or whatever should be made on this site. Maybe what we need then is just more encouragement for people to write more concert percussion pieces. After all, I mean, this whole site is marching, basically, and it does a GREAT job of covering marching. But when marching season is over and concert season begins, it would be more fun on DLO to have something "current" (concert season) on here to talk about. Maybe a Concert Percussion Forum would be a better idea?
