Well sexism works two ways (seeing as there are two genders

). My instructor has expressed opinions that he feels that it would be "cool" to have all 3 female snares next year. Next year, the snare with the most experience will be a female, and honestly she isn't good. He is giving special consideration to 2 guard members who have never played a lick of percussion in their life, just because he feels he might get them to a performance level to make his Betty Drumline a reality.
Is this fair in any way shape or form? Absolutely not. I'm quite happy on tenors, but if i wanted to go for snare next year, I would be extremely upset. I know that there are 2 males in pit better than the current snare, and if either of them do not make it next year, that's an absolute shame.
just some food for thought...
