Here are a few clips from the Virginia State University Drumline. Look out for the website which will be coming sooner than you think ( here is a sample of what it will look like).

Fixed.

And how about that...big suprise that Tap Space gets no recognition for the performance of Gusseck's Double Beat exercize. You'd think they (the website) would come up with something to give credit where it's due, wouldn't you?

I thought the grooves were okay, but the difficulty was not up there with the best. They are a very entertaining and clean drumline, but I wouldn't be intimidated at a competition.

Does a drumline exist that will not rip off Double Beat?

Although I must say, that was a pretty good rendition of it. Very clear interpretation as opposed to others I've heard.

The second video is a blatant rip off of SCV double beats. The first one is less than impressive even from a show band persepctive. I was less than impressed with eitehr one to be honest. Then again I have Umass Amherst, Thom Hannum, Colin McNutt and that whole crew almost in my back yard so...yeah I am used to a rather high level of ability anda high level of performance not to mention something I like to call being orginal...

Good to see another VA group on the web!

Actually, I was wondering if they paid for Double Beat and have permission to use it...

I wonder who teaches the line?

I am impressed with the attempt nonetheless, at least they are trying and are promoting themselves! There is much to be lauded in that!
