Today I played a set of dynasty tenors and holy poop, they were by far the best tenors I've ever played on. Really, you can get all tenors to sound the same or really good, so sound isn't really an issue between Pearl, Yamaha, and Dynasty (for me at least). But the Quality and design of Dynasty tenors surpasses the others by far. What I loved most about them is their rims; their rims are fitted onto the drum so that they barely clear the drumhead (compared to yamaha, who's have the highest rims I've ever played on). Rim hits while sweeping is minimized. I liked Dynasty snares, but I haven't heard too many good things about the snare quality (weird compared to their tenors), so yamaha takes my vote in snares. Pearl gets bass.

Well, Pearl gets the vote for everything. Reasons being 1) Dynastys DO NOT project at all 2) Yamaha tenors are a little to "barky" for me you don't get the resonance you do with Pearl 3) Pearl owns
