I prefer white. I march with white dinkles in my band. For example, Phantom Regiment wears white, so you can see every movement they make. White just enhances an excellent visual the entire Corps does (like the Chevron in the '06 show).

It should depend on the color of the pants/bibbers you are wearing. I hate seeing a marching band with dark blue/black pants with White shoes. I think it just makes them look more "bando"

It would look strange for us to wear white shoes with our uniforms. our uniforms are all black with a red appliqué on the jacket chest (drum majors have a sparkly silver appliqué) and black hats with black feathers. whit shoes simply would look out of place. plus, our band director is all for RLY dark uniforms, so no white shoes for a while.

We wear Dinkles white shoes, and I would rather march nothing else.

I like black, we use black, it matches our bibors which are also black, but black goes with about every color so I think thats way better than white, and doesn't get as dirty.

I prefer black shoes. I personally think that your mistakes stick out more in white shoes than black
