Well, Ben, I understand what you mean, but I don't think other people will.

He means, a pit that is only made up of aux. players, with a guy playing cowbell, and a guy playing woodblock.

a pit with JUST aux, or aux in pit?
anyways, with the size of our perc section, last year we had 20 some-odd people in pit. aux parts were written to mimic bass/snare parts, or add melodic effect. but in our pit also we have mallets/timps.

does that answer the question?

This past year we had something like that. We call them the RACKS. They are multi percussion marching racks made by LP. You can mount anything to them from miniature timbales to wood blocks to high hats. Ours had two jam blocks, a ride cymbal, a cowbell and a tambourine. They are great for effect.

Dude, marching cowbell would ROCK. I would do it in a heartbeat.

funny...they also used to have a decent bass cadence called "heartbeat"...I don't think they've played it in a while though.

and yea, they use the XL marching rack I believe, so you could march multiple cowbells..

Hah, could you imagine I&E performances with a multi cowbell setup, that would be sick. Ah, but I digress. What was the original question?
