Crabstep problem..

When I crabstep to the right, stepping front or back, i do it fine. But, when i go to the left, stepping in front, my left foot always curves in, and i know that's not right and i dont stay level. This doesn't happen when i step behind though. And, when i try to turn my foot to the left so it's curved out the way it's supposed to be, i can't go as fast as the song is. what can i do to fix this?

I have always had a bit of a problem with marching in general and for most of these problems they could be fixed by practicing and paying attention to details. Hope this helps and keep up the good work!

This statement is not 100% correct...when crabbing directly to the left, or to the left and forward you should put your left foot behind...however, when moving to the left and backward, you must put your right foot behind your left...just wanted to clear that up...

Interestingly enough, my school's drumline crabs with the left foot behind when you're going right, and the right foot behind when you're going left. But pretty much everyone else does the opposite, which means that's probably what I'm going to have to learn. My winter drumline's visual designer doesn't write horizontal drill though, so no problem there if I make the line...
